Hi everyone,
Hope you like the new look...
As you can see we have given the Flies Online website a new look, well more like a total overhaul. The old site had a few messy parts and it was a bit clunky so we have turfed it out and built something I think is much better.
The Store
The 'Store' is similar to the previous site; however there are some differences that I will outline. If you would like to see what is in your cart you can have a look by clicking on the 'Shopping Cart' at the top left of the page above the 'Product Menu'.
When you have finished shopping and you would like to proceed to the checkout. Click on the 'Shopping Cart' at the top left of the page above the 'Product Menu', and the click on 'Checkout' link and follow the prompts.
Payment
Payment has changed. All payments with credit card go through DPS - specialists and leaders in online credit card payment. This will speed up the time it take for us to post your orders and also increase security.
Postage
Postage rates have increased slightly from $3.90 to $4.90. However postage is FREE if your order is over $100 and you are posting within NZ. Shipping within NZ is through New Zealand couriers and all orders are tracked and traced. Shipping to Australia costs $9.00 and is shipped via NZ Post airmail. Shipping to the rest of the world costs $18.00 and is also shipped via NZ Post airmail.
News
The news part of the site is going to be updated weekly from now on. If you have anything that you would like to publish in the news, please contact me vie the contact form. I will be sure to reward contributors with some extra flies in their next order. Photos, videos and tall tales are all welcome.
Extras
There will be other features coming up soon too. We are going to have a weekly regional fishing report on the site (I am still getting contributors for this). So you will be able to find out what is going on all over NZ, fishing wise.
Flies Online is going to have a River Database too that will be updated regularly providing tips on access and techniques in the particular rivers and lakes throughout NZ. This will be a slow process to build, but I am hoping that I will have help from everyone on this. If you would like to write a little about the rivers in your area please contact me. The idea is not to disclose your favourite spots but to give other anglers some tips on how to approach certain rivers or lakes. All contributions will be rewarded.
In conclusion Flies Online is very excited to have a new site. We hope it will make ordering easier and in the future we hope that it is a great information provider. Please give us some feedback.
Tight lines, Rohan Wakefield
